Department of Zoology


About

The Department of Zoology, GTC Katni was established during 1970-71. This Department currently consists of three faculties including 01 Assistant Professor, 01 Guest Faculty and 01 Faculty form Janbhagidari Samiti. The prime responsibilities of the department are: (i) The teaching of Zoology courses in B.Sc programme according to NEP-2020 and M.Sc Programme (ii) Innovative research in the various thrust area of Zoology. Recently in 2022, MSc programme has been also introduced from Zoology Department. Currently, Mrs. Padmaja Shukla is HOD of the Zoology Department.
 
The UG and PG laboratories of the Department are presently equipped with sophisticated instruments including, Digital Balance, Spectrophotometer, Microwave Oven etc.
