Department of Mathematics started its journey from 1971 for UG and 1984 for PG courses as a unit to offer Bachelor’s and Master’s degree to the students. It soon acquired the status of a full-fledged department in 1984. Its importance lies in the fact that it caters to the needs of the undergraduate as well as post-graduate students mostly coming from rural area. At present there are three permanent faculty members in the Mathematics Department. The faculty members of the department have international experiences and training. The departmental research is focused in the areas of Numerical Analysis, Differential Equations, Integral Equations, Fuzzy Algebra & Fuzzy Aggregation Operator, Fuzzy Automata etc. along with all the facilities to carry out the related teaching and research work.
